Default Greetings.

Hi folks...I live in NJ and I currently am driving a 2004 STi. I like it a lot, but I'm a little bored with it since my previous car was a WRX. Anyway, I drove my friend's 2003 s2k today and I loved it. I'm about 6'2, so I thought I would barely fit, but I actually was comfortable. I am very, very serious about getting rid of the subaru and buying an s2k. Just wondering what you guys think, and how the s2k is as a daily driver. Also, if anyone is around my height, how they manage. And yes, I have another car for when it snows that is suitable for the weather here. I don't race my STi and I'm not really a fast driver either, so the power loss is not a big deal to me. The s2k I drove today had plenty of power. I appreciate any feedback.

Fit seems to vary with tall folks. If you've already driven your friend's car, that's great.

I drive my car as a commuter to work (I live in suburbia). I love having it to drive to help me wind down from work.

If you don't have a good place to park your car, that could be an issue.

Winter driving is interesting in the S. I like it, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. Would you expect to use your S in winter? I have a truck for really bad weather.

I would use the s2k as an everyday car. I have a 1996 Honda Civic for bad weather, but I would be using the s2k in the rain and everything. I have a place to park at home and at work. How is it, performance-wise on an everyday basis? And does it handle as good as everyone says?

Daily driver here.

Not in extreme weather, we dont have that.
I do drive it all year round.
The car is parked in a garage box @ home overnight, but @ work its outside.
No problems.

And YES, it handles very good!
Performance wise its very good too (IMO), below vtec its just like every 2.0i engine - or a bit better - and with vtec its.....

Does it handle!? The S2000 is one of the nimblest cars on the road. I guarantee you will not be disappointed on that front!

Again, on an everyday basis, it's peachy. If you need to haul stuff around, though, be aware that it's extremely space constrained. I even got a tow hitch just so I could mount a bike rack.
