Hello from a new S2000 owner
Hi all. I'm a proud owner of a new 2005 S2000 -- which unfortunately had its seats stolen last week. Any ideas how I can protect myself from a repeat burglary? I plan on visiting my local auto security specialists when I get my car back from my Honda dealer with a new top and seats, but I'm not sure what security equipment to add to the S2K. I do want to buy a set of "kodokan" seat locks. Can anyone tell me how to go about this.
Thanks

incredible... and in arizona??
sorry to hear this- good quality alarm is your best protection. i cover my car too (keeps folks from looking in- of course they can still take the cover, but if your alarm has motion sensors they will not likely hang around to take the seats again!)

Get the seat locks at $60. Also important (to me) is a non-factory alarm with motion sensors, both for keeping thieves away and for piece of mind when leaving the top down. Always close the radio door when you leave the S too...
So sorry to hear about your stolen seats.
I have the McGard seat locks that I got from Pete too (his username is Kodokan_4). They take about 10 minutes to install, and should prevent anyone from getting the seats out in a burglary. Won't stop vandalism though.
I don't know how useful an alarm is in a convertible, by the way. Stealing the car would probably require a flatbed tow truck, as cutting the top and releasing the e-brake and transmission would make it possible. Operating the engine without a proper immobilzer key isn't easy.
