Default Hi all, little advice appreciated

Hi everyone,

Ive been a honda enthusiast for about 8-9 years now and have owned an EG3 civic and EG2 delsol and currently looking to move to something different. The 2 cars (obveously gotta be a honda) im trying to choose between are an EP3 Pre-facelift or a s2000.

I am 27 with no points and full NCB and althought cant see getting insured on either being a problem, im just wondering how much i should expect to pay on a s2000 and also what are maintanance and tax costs roughly.

Ive actually been to see a couple of EP3's over the past few weeks and suprised to see they all have signs of rust which is worrying at only 7ish years old, can anyone tell me what s2000's are like in that department.

Age doesnt really bother me and i have about 6-6.5k to spend so i guess im looking at one aged around 2000-2001.

Many thanks in advance for any info and input you can give me

Thought id include a couple of photos of my current SIR for you all...

I may be biased, but get an s2k. I am 20 and have quite a few speeding tickets on my record, and insurance, full converage, for my s2k and my Jaguar is less than $100 a month(I'm not sure how that converts to your currency, but it is very reasonable to me). It is so much fun and for what the car is, maintenance isn't too bad either(not speaking from personal experience as I've had mine less than a week, but from everything I've read....)

I had all of these same questions before I pulled the trigger on mine, so maybe my words are worth a little something?

thanks for the reply, sadly in the UK Honda especially are crazy prices to get insured on so i doubt ill get near that price for insurance, infact i was on the civictyper owners club the other day and there was a lad on there who was your age who had just paid £1700 to insure the car (thats about 2500 dollars roughly i think). Not to mention s2k's are 3 groups higher in insurance.lol.
