Hi from TN
Hello everyone, I found this site a few days ago and after being sucked in more while trolling the forums than I was on Reddit I figured I would join. ^_^
I've had a few nice cars throughout my time in the army. Before my current S I had a 240sx that I had done an engine swap on etc. And it was fun to drive on these mountain roads of TN.
Funny story about how I got the S. I was out car shopping for a manual tranny RWD car for about a month. After a while I had came to the conclusion that the only vehicle I would be satisfied with would be a mustang year 2005 or newer, GT premium trim. I was just about to give up on my search and go buy one about 20 miles from my home when my dad, my brother and I saw this random car lot.
This car lot was one of those basic hole in the wall lots that you usually wouldn't even stop at. However I had a strange tingling telling me to go. As we were pulling in I saw this diamond in the rough parked in the grass. The top was torn and the engine was sputtering. But the body in prestige condition with three scratches on it. (Coil pack was the reason behind the sputter)
This car was exactly what I was looking for, and a bonus! It is a convertible! And six speed! Ended up paying $12k for it, plus new top $1k for top and install. And $100 (from the deductible that I didn't know was there on the warrenty) for the coil pack.
The S had 107,500 miles on it when I bought it, fixed it up, drove down to savannah. Etc, and now has 109k miles on it. I love this car and everything about it.. and yesterday I read the thread about the spring spacers, and imma check it as soon as I run by my buddies shop next. Got me paranoid haha.
I'm a nerd, love to game, but I also love to work on my cars when its not cold as crap outside haha. Have a garage that has so much in it I can't park the S in it.. however my house shares a church parking lot on both sides. Wed and Sundays I move the car to the back so no one gets near it haha. I love driving it on the long twisty roads around me, and I'm only about an hour away from the dragon. I haven't driven on it yet, but I look forward to going during the summer with the top down listening to the engine the entire way.

Welcome aboard!
So lucky being so close to the Dragon.
the story - it's like it was calling you from that little used car lot, "hey, come rescue me!"
Anyhow, enjoy and be safe out there.

Yeah definitely was crying out for me to come save it before some kid got a hold of it and ruined it haha. Yes I drive my cars hard at times, but I baby them with maintenance.
Funny thing about being so close to the dragon, I have never went to it haha. The roads near me are pretty treacherous, but then again this is the mountains haha. So I guess I never felt the need to go there.
