Hello all. I just want to say that I have recently become a proud owner of a 2006 Grand Prix White S2000 with 6,000 miles. I've been salivating over this car since it's release and now I finally have one. This car indeed is a "drivers" car.
Hi guys,
I've been building an S2000 engine'd kit car (Dax Rush) for the past 8 months and its very nearly finished now!
I have junked the honda inlet, and ECU and used a set of Jenvey 50mm ITB's with a RaceTech (UK) ECU / Loom. I intend to run a dry sump before giving it too much cornering abuse as it'll pull much tighter corners than the std S2k so oil surge will be a big problem! (using std 6sp gearbox and Sierra 7.5" LSD Diff)
The all up weight with a tank of fuel should be ~650kg which should shave over half a ton off the normal S2000's kerb weight
I've taken it our for a few shake down runs / mapping sessions and it does seem to shift.... roll the throttle on in 2nd in the dry and it spins up the wheels all the way to the redline then shift into 3rd and it scrabbles then its really launches.... 1st gear seems totally redundant really!

wat it do? I'm new at this and I was thinking thismight be the best way to meet others who are into cars as much as I am. I'm a mechanic been doing it in a shop for the last year but been a backyard mechanic since high school. I specialize in alignments and a little suspension. I am highly interested in motors, I wasn't a big rice rocket fan because I'm a football jock and I like muscle cars I also got a 1985 Iroc z28 camaro that has been my project car since graduating high school so far I have built two motors for that car the first one was a budget build now my latest one that is currently on the way with the goodies that I really want. I first got intersted in s2k's because a guy brought on to my shop asking for specific specs on his alignment so I was curious like wtf? this little pos so I asked my co-worker to let me drive it real quick and as soon as I got out of the drive way an punched it I fell in love with it because I was new at driving stick and I got the hang of it like it was nothing so ever since that I was hooked. here's the best part my girlfriend offered to buy me the car as my 21st bday present and she came thru how sick is that.
I just bought an 03 Honda S2000 and it was definately worth every dollar spent. Im still looking for a hardop for it as honda wants a ridiculous amount of money and they dont make em for my year anymore. If anyone in my area knows of where to get a black one i am a serious buyer that is willing to travel a bit to get one for my ride. Im also looking into doing some mods to the car and wouldnt mind some perspective on some good upgrades to start.

Hello everyone. Just got a Black S2k last weekend. It's a blast!! I activated the VTEC once before 600 miles, hope i didn't do any damage. Any suggestions for oil changes(synthetic, when to swithch), or other maintenance? Thanks.
