Introduce yourself here!
Hi, names Matt. Just thought i'd say a little about myself before I introduced the car, haha. I work as a photographer, and for a scuba shop. Hobbies include scuba diving (love cave diving) golf, tennis, autocross.
I just got my first S2000 a couple weeks ago, its a 2007 formula red with 4800 miles on it. I purchesed the s2000 after losing my previous car, my 97 nissan 240sx.
I'd post some pictures I took this past weekend but i'll post those in the gallery to keep the intro section clean.
Later guys, and gals....( I know there are atleast some here)

Hey....owned our S2000 since June last year, but yesterday I just got it out of storage and decided to have more fun with it this summer, so I'm joining your club. We are in syracuse,Indiana. We are 50-ish (isn't that what all 50-ish people say) and have no kids at home anymore.
We are looking for somewhere to go over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Maybe we could meet some new people? Anybody got anything going on?

I've been looking for an S2000 for a long time, probably well over a year. I originally was going to buy used but I could never find what I wanted. The only ones with low mileage and were 2002-2004 were the yucky blue ones with the blue interior or they were riced to shit.
So I had saved around $10,000 hoping I could get used car financing for one that had around 40,000 miles. Long story short, I couldn't. Being fresh out of college even with a good engineering job, the fact that I had no previous loan history made it so that lending companies wouldn't even consider me.
So I figured I'd go somewhere that had an incentive to sell me a car, enter a new car dealership
I hit them at the very end of the month and had 4 competing dealerships all with identical S2000s on the lot. They were all really anxious to sell me a car, and through shrewd negotions on my part as well as a willingness to walk away. I was able to get a brand new 2008 S2000 with 12 miles on it for 30K out the door, so coupled with my 10K down, my payments are around 400/month (6.5% interest oh well, I'll pay it off early anyway). Totally doable, even if I were still in college.
So here are the fruits of my labor. (Click for big and uncropped)

So shiny and new

Sleak.....

No junk in this trunk.

Sexy red interior.

My favorite part of the car.
I've actually put 1000 miles on the car since I bought it 2 weeks ago. Oops. Also the day after I got it, it got hail damage
Only slight though, you won't notice it unless you are really looking for it, like maybe 4 or 5 divets.

Hello!
I currently own a MG ZR, however a S200 has been my most desired car (in my price range) for the last year atleast, thought it was about time i signed up and hopefully will be able to pick up some pointers on getting insurance for one of these beauties!
Look forward to meeting people and having a look at what everyone is doing to their S2000's !
Thnx Jason
