^ That's a very common probrem for Legends, I think due to a design flaw in the head gasket itself. Anyhow, congrats on your purchase and welcome aboard!

What's up, don't know if anyone still checks this or not anyhow, I finally bought an s2k always wanted one, never really got one, til' now.

I order it from my local dealer who had to locate it at another dealership, picked it up with 70 miles on it (mileage from the other dealer). I've owned it for about a month now, its a 08' Apex Blue CR. I'm really into it, I love it honestly. I'm glad things never worked out on buying an AP1, i guess some times good things DO happen to those who wait. It has just over 700 miles on.

Now this is my 8th Honda i'v owned, and picked up my 7th a 2000 Civic DX Hatch (my third EK Hatch) about a month before this one. So my Civic's about 2 months old w/ 120k miles, perfect body. Plans for that? Yes, Extreme? No. Clean? Very.

Plans for my S2k? Slight. Nothing over done and nothing cheap, but I have to be realistic aswell, am I REALLY going to shell out $3600.00 for an ASM Full carbon fiber intake? (lord knows i'de like to!)

So i've got to be realistic and not go overboard with changes, the CR is really nice from the factory. So we'll see.

Anyhow, great to finally join this board. I'll be reading up alot on previous threads, learn some things, check pro's & con's, opinion's, & etc. Not Really familar w/ the s2k as much as i want to be so that's the reasoning.

I have had Mint White 93' Integra B17 GSR built up, two other 96' EK's, an 92' EG and an 91' EF, oh and a 02' EP... All hatches, had my share of VW's aswell, about 10 or so mostly all GTI's and an Jetta here and there. My last car was a Black 93' S13 240SX SE w/ Digital Dash and WORKING Head's Up Display, SR20DET, etc. They're all gone now and I miss some of them, but not enough to keep'em

Anyhow, just giving you some background on what i'm into/used to own, etc.

Thanks for reading.

Hope to see some of you at north east meets soon.

Just got an S2K. An '03 with 15k miles. Im a former Porsche snob that drove a 911. I raced at: Laguna Seca (beautiful Track) Sears Point (you may know it as Infineon Raceway) which is another great track but is dangerous especially if you are a novice driver and Thunder Hill Park which is a blast - no concrete walls on the turns! - if you have an "off" you just skid off into the countryside. So I have to say this is a good car...Honda did good here..seems about as fast as my Porsche once you get into VTEC land and the handling is great. I hear that at the limit the rear end will 'snap' and swap ends...is this the case? I have not yet had a chance to get it on the track so I would appreciate any feedback on any points to watch out for. That was the one thing you had to be real careful with on a 911...go into a turn to hot and you can not (a)lift off the throttle (b) brake. So you were pretty much screwed because once you lost it you would not get it back, no matter how good a driver you may be. Also, Im thinking about swapping to 17" wheels with 205-50 on the fronts and 225-45 on the rear. This setup is for general road use. what do you guys think?
Many Thanks

Hello all ! I am in the market for an S2000 for a fun daily driver. Just out of curiosity, Did Honda make an OEM Hardtop for the AP1?

Yes. However, I don't believe they are model year-specific.

Thanks Julie. I am going to pick up a S2000 in a few weeks, One of the biggest thing I want is a Hardtop. Sadly I hate convertibles, But love the S2000.

Hey guys!

Just joined and thought this is the first place I should be. I don't own an S2K but I've always been a huge fan. I've been tracking for almost 2 seasons and S2Ks are the best guys to run with out there. They look awesome and they are soo quick on the corners. I've lost to some I've beat some but in the end it doesn't really matter to me 'cuz either way I have a lot of respect for these things. They're little sharks out there and everytime I see one I want one. Figured maybe I should start off by learning about these things and getting to know some of you guys. Anyways, hope to see some of you guys around!
