Hello everyone,
Just got a new 2005 S2000! White with Tan interior. Car is awsome so far, although the headlights seem to cast a very strange shadow and don't project very far on low beam. Any ideas?

I think that's normal. I use the high beams whenever possible on our '01 and/or '05.
Welcome, bikedude. The low beams on the S2000 are high-intensity discharge (HID) Xenon tubes. They are extremely bright, but focused into a tight beam. They do not disperse much, which is perhaps why you perceive them to be restricted to a small area.
Here is the beam pattern that you should see if you park your car and fire your lights against a wall:
well sorry I don't have a pic, but I just bought an '00 black on black s2000 off my brother. he parted out all the aftermarket parts (including the comptech supercharger! ) so now it's bone stock, except for the clear headlights and injen intake
what can I say, other than this sure beats the old Miata I used to drive!
I have had my MY2004 for almost two years now, but I have just recently learned the importance of this type of forum. I have a formula red s2k with an AEM V2 as the only current mod. This is my daily driver, so I am sitting at about 32,000 miles already (400 miles on new head assy., but that is a different topic). This is by far the most solid car I have ever owned at 32k miles. I look forward to driving it every day.
Just wanted to say hello. I purchased my membership today and plan on picking up my new '06 S2k on Feb. 6th. Just gotta decide the color now. I'm in the North Texas area, and hope to be doing some rides as soon as I get the 600 miles on the car
Big thank you to many members on here, who over the last week or so has helped me decide on the S2000 as the car for me. Now to start buying parts
Hey everyone, im rod but you guys can call me nismo. Don't have a car atm...or a license lol...no im not some silly 14 year old, im actually 18 but I can't get my license or car at the time being so yeah. I figured i'd join the site since lately I've been getting more and more obsessed with the AP1 S2k's. Very nice cars indeed and hopefully I can have my own in a year or 2.
Hello everyone, I have been an S2000 owner since day one. I had purchased a 2000 Honda Civic Si new and only had the car for eight months. I got into a car accident and used the insurance check to jump into a Formula Red S. I was upset about my electron blue civic until I took delivery of my S. From the start I knew the car was something special. Then I was traveling on the highway, and saw my first yellow S, and absolutely loved it. I instantly went to the dealership with 3300 miles on the car to get the spa. The red S was loaded to the hilt with all of the factory accessories. I took the yellow 2001 S with no accessories at all and basically took a loss in that department. But it gets better, the only thing that I could find to honestly complain about was the rear plastic window. I was so sick of using plastic window cleaner to spiff it up. Then 2002 came and obviously the rear glass. I contemplated a new top, but eventually decided against it. I traded the 01' in for the 02' that I currently own. Basically all summed up I'm on my third S2000 and by far my favorite year of production. And by the way I love the site.
