At age 65 purchased my first S2000. Have had it nine months and what a car. I look for excuses to go for a drive. It's a 2002, Suzuka Blue with 35,500 miles on it. Hope to trade up to an '04 or '05 before too long.

soonered,

Welcome to s2ki.com, and congrats on your S2000 purchase! Our cars sound like twins.

1. Make sure to check your oil level at every fill up. Our early year engines burned oil (normally) and require attention.

2. Check out the Vintage Owners forum... It's a great place for folks over 40 to hang.

Best wishes.

Hello Kyle. Yes, please respect the power and control you have on the S2000. I really don't think it's a great first car for someone, but you're lucky to have that opportunity. Good luck.
