Aloha,
My name is Mike from the 50th state. Just picked up an '02 S2K about a month ago with 39k miles. It's going to be a project and have learned a lot from this forum already, hope that I can contribute myself as well.

Hi All - Kory here from California, have had buncha modded cars as I was growing up and such. Tracked here and there just a fundamental enjoyment and enthusiasm for cars of all types in general. My current stable consists of:

1. 2011 M3 6MT for track and weekends with a buncha mods

2. 2017 Mazda 3 HB Grand Touring as DD (love love the car, great mpg and fun). The 2015 model (in the back) is my fiance's

I will be buying a clean low mileage S2k soon to enjoy for weekends and keep it near stock. I used to have an Acura and miss the driving dynamics of an H / A car. Hopefully I can get one soon!!

Default My 2001 AP1 from Switzerland

Hi guys,

New owner of a 2001 AP1 Berlina Black for 2 months now, really happy except the TCT noise that I will change soon.
A lot of vibration when I quit a stop, even when i m easy on the clutch and try to find the moment it's still shaking...

Anyway really happy of that car done 5000km in 2 months. now 125000km

Billman is it possible to ship a TCT in switzerland or France ?

Thanks

Eric from Baltimore, MD checking in. I am scheduled to pick up my first S2000 this weekend.

I have already picked up a lot of great information on the forum that helped me pick out the right car, and look forward to joining the community!

Hi, Steve from ATL, picked up an 06 Laguna Blue up in Winston-Salem about a week ago. Enjoying that VTEC, although even with 47K miles and very well cared for there are a lot of squeaks I think in the top. My GTI isn't too happy about being pushed out into the driveway and the elements though : ) I was originally looking for something in the 10-12K range to mod and track (the GTI is my DD and was getting passed by S2Ks). However this was double that so will have to control myself with mods. (I am still cleaning the garage, to create a cushion of protection)

Smile Excited S2K Newbie

Hi all,

Well, here's one I get to cross off the bucket list. An original, low-mileage, unmolested Y2K S2K. That I found it in my backyard is almost too good to be true! Looking forward to learning more about these beautiful cars and driving myself to distraction!

yo yo yo! newbie here just got myself an 01 built right by the previous owner (fully built in-line Pro) lots of potential with the set up but power was turned down due to the weak links currently has AP2s (tranny, diff, and axles). here's the question for the hardcores here; what's available out there to support over 850 to the wheels? thanks much

Default I need some advice

Hi,

I've owned a Red '07 AP2 for the last two and half years, hardly driven it - 46,000mi - I REALLY WANT TO KEEP IT - THAT'S WHY SIGNED UP (i've been lurking for years). It currently needs:

1) new Robbins top
2) some slight body shot job to straighten out the front fenders
3) new carburetor

I work in a professional service corporation that's viewed by the general public as "prestiguous" - meaning they automaticallly assume you're rich. Well, I'm 30 and on a decent salary but I'm not "rich". I've put my money on property investments divert alot of my salary to my 401k - who doesn't want to retire early?!??

My prior boss made a point to drive BMW 5 Series (leased) just for appearances sake. group circle of friends, growing up my friend had an new Acura, I had a '00 Prelude, and now he has a brand new bells and whistles 5 series (dunno of bought or least). But then again she was seemingly bipolar or impulsive since she was only in her early 30s.

I've never been on to give in to peer pressure, but I've have thought about purchasing a 3 series sedan, or a used 5 series from like Carmax - not to mention they will both be more appropriate for family. But instinctually, whenever I get in to my S2000, especially top down, gives me god-like confidence in driving and plus I love practicing heel-toe on surface streets. I have access to my parents cars, but one is an SUV, the other though is a '14 V6 Accord (fast as ****, but nearly as satisfying to drive as S2k).

Problem is with selling my car is that. it's low mileage (relatively). And completely unmolested, save for the fact I need a new carburetor to meet CA's emmission standards. I would love to make this my daily driver - I drive to so smooth. It's had tow previous owners down in Florida. I would love even more to mod it to my liking such as suspension, turbo/super, or even engine swap (since I love the simultaneous throttle response, as opposed to forced induction)

My new boss however, is a good conservative white man who is both super cool and not dwell on any of that crap; he's too busy shopping for small yachts lol.

So should I keep my S2000 as a daily driver or sell it for a brand marque for sake of "respect"?
