Hi,

I just bought an 03, light blue with blue interior and 41K miles on it. I have a question about the spring spacers. I found one on each side of the rear and have removed them, and understand the problems they can cause with handling, but I am curious as to any damage they can cause. I ask because the right rear seems to make a loud "clunk" going over potholes. It's much more noticeable than the left side. I tried pushing down rapidly on the left rear and it seems to make a "sqishy" sound. Any ideas on what's going on there? Would the spacers cause a problem like this?

spring spacers as in the things packaged from a new s2k that is supposed to be removed before driving? yours is a 2003? that's a long time to be riding with 'em...

I just got the car and only found out about the spacers on here. obviously the dealer and previous owner didn't know about them...
