Default Spring spacers left on S2K 3750 ml

Changing my oil for the first time today I noticed the
dealer left the spring spacers on the front springs.
I have 3750ml's on my car. Could this have damaged my S2k?
I can't f__k'n believe it. I sent the letter, that I got off this
website to my dealer. Spring spacers are the first thing on the list !! And when I picked it up I asked if they were removed
and the answer was yes. I guess I should've checked myself.
It just goes to show you if you want something done right you
have to do it yourself.

Tell me if this could cause damage to the springs, linkages,
tierods, shocks or something else?

I'm asking for advice what should I do ?

- Take it to the dealer and bitch and mone and try and to get
something for them being stupid ?

- Take the spacers out and forget about it ?

Please give me some feedback.

Thanks,
Chris Driver

Wow dude you have one incompetent dealership! I had the same thing happen when I picked up my car, except I pulled over at the first side street after departing the dealership and checked myself after having read all the warnings here. Sure enough, my spacers were still there, and my dealership had already delivered 8 or 9 S2K's for the 2000 model year! Makes me wonder if all those 8 or 9 cars still have the spacers.

If I were you, I would have another S2K owner in your area drive your car and see if anything feels amiss, I don't think anyone here has actually documented any damage from them being left on, just an incredibly stiff ride. But if anyone else knows differently, I'd be happy to be updated.

You should definitely demand some MAJOR compensation from the dealership, if they don't treat you right I would suggest developing some lower back pain and use the car as the cause, nothing frightens a company more than a medical lawsuit.

Good luck!

Why don't you just chalk it up to crappy dealer prep and get on with your life?

There's no need for talk about "major compensation." The dealer made a mistake, and you didn't catch it. No big deal
