Default Need your input guys

Ok guys, here is the thing. I am a new member here, and i currently own a 2007 Honda Civic Si. I went to go look at a 2004 Indy? Yellow s2000 with 49k miles. We were going to do a straight trade, but the only thing is that it's a salvage title, everything was professionally fixed and the car ran strong and like a champ. Reason why i desperately want to get rid of my Si is because it's been givin me too many problems, too many people hitting the car, my tire just popped yesterday, bumper screw/clip is coming off, and just always getting damaged or having something wrong with it little by little. Now here is the thing, do you guys think it's a good deal to straight trade? I have tons of scratches on my Si, and bumper problem, etc. The s2000 has black/red interior, new stereo, 12" sub in the back, and lowered on Eibach Pro Kits. Need your inputs guys. Thanks. And i hope to become a s2000 owner in the near future.

The s2k is not free from the problems you listed. I dont understand how getting an s2k will solve the issues above?

I understand what you mean, but i'm sure the s2k doesnt have a 3rd gear grind, everytime i open my door is snaps against the fender on the driver side. And i've always wanted an s2000. I don't know, maybe it's just bad luck with my Si...too much stuff going wrong with it i guess. Especially the 3rd gear grind/pop out. And when i rip from 1st to 2nd, it grinds ridiculously. The tranny is one of the biggest problems with the Si's from what i know.

One thing to remember is that being a salvaged title it'll probably be worth less when the day ever comes that you decide to get rid of it. That being said, if it has been fixed to your satisfaction it could make you a great car. Any pics?

Here are some pics of the car i'm trying to pick up. I don't plan on getting rid of it in the near future or in the future at all because an s2000 is one of my dream cars. And i do plan on keeping it for as long as i possibly can. But no one could ever know for sure, but that's what i know now.

I don't think I'd do it but the choice is up to you. Hondas in general are not known for having issues but all of the things you named have definitely happened in an S2000. For mechanical reasons, I would not get rid of an Si. But I know how it is when your mind is already made up...I think you should buy an S but wait for one with a clean title.

If you do buy this one, make sure you get it for dirt cheap. Selling a car with a salvage title means you have to expect A LOT less money.

Yeah, well i discussed everything with my parents and stuff, and they said to just be patient, there will always be more. And if some money is needed to be put on top they will put money. So i hope i can find another ap2 to come along. And i hope to be part of this community soon as a proud owner of an S2000. =D
