One thing to note: "dealer prep fees"

Some people are getting quote without the prep fee..some are getting a quote with the fee...it's a $300 or so difference (for absolutely nothing).

Perry, sounds like a sweet deal. Question the mileage (they can still sell "new" even when they've put miles on the thing at the dealership).

[QUOTE=chickdr,Jun 12 2006, 02:36 PM] I would assume(maybe incorrectly) that the sales boost for May could make them back off of aggressive pricing.

Use this formula:

(MSRP - Freight) x 3% = Dealer Holdback
Invoice (with freight) - Dealer Holdback = Dealer Net Cost

Make an offer at the Dealer Net Cost, plus tax, tags and processing fee. I think they should be happy to get rid of an 2005 model. My dealership is actually selling 2005 Accord Hybrids at loss just to get rid of them. So you might still have some room to work with, depending on how desperate your dealer is.

Good luck!
