Default New guy to the S2k thing

Just bought a 2004 S2k.

Current mods are 19" 3 piece rims, pioneer head unit with ipod in cup holder, infinity sub in trunk, hks exhaust, injen intake, h and r coil overs, camber kit, steer rack kit.

I don't know what direction I'm going with mods. I've been reading the posts on this forum, thinking about SC or turbo, what this engine can take with out internal mods. I want good reliability with any performance mod. Here are some pictures.

I come from the Euro scene. Kind of an outcast portion of the Euro scene actually... LOL

Here some pictures of my Volvo 850. Current mods are Eibach Springs, Koni FSD, FMIC, 18psi tune, Silicone vacuum hoses and radiator hoses, poly mounts, 18" wheels,
S70 interior, sony sound system, MSD ignition, EST short cone filter intake with heat plate, 3" downpipe, 2.5 custom exhaust with spun cat, drilled slotted rotors, AF gauge, boost gauge, strut tower bar etc......

How much boost can these motors take? The Volvo B5234 doesn't like boost before 2500 rpm on stock rods. Proper boost curve and a good tune and you can give them 18-20psi all day.

How is the F22? From what I've read seems like you can stick to the stock power curve and push 10psi. Are these motors good with boost down low? Seems the natural balance is if you give the motor good torque down low you might run out of breath and restrict it up top. A good balanced turbo with a solid boost controller and tune might be able to curve the boost to give you a good low end street range and really open up the top end too.

Maybe a GT30?

I recommend heading to the Forced Induction section of the forum. People will help you there I'm sure. But just as any other forum, make sure you use the search function, or really unhappy people will yell at you.
