I think that's a superb idea. It'll help you get a better feel for the car anyway.

Good luck, man.

A fellow member may be able to test drive it tomorrow.

But... I just wanna get some input on the price.

asking 17,300
01 with 34k
new tires
very clean
new rear plastic window
... just looks in good condition all around and under.

front bumper is cracked on the bottom about 2" up in one part where I guess it snagged on a bump stop or curb when backing out. They said it may have been in a tiny accident or something but carfax didnt show anything.

It is from a family owned shop/dealer with like 10 cars on their lot.

I was thinking about offering 16.5k out the door (taxes being 6%). I dont want to totally lowball them, but kinda want to keep the price low obviously.

What do you think?

I dont think thats either a good nor a bad deal. My friend got his 2000 s2k for 17k with 11,000 on the odo. I would offer 16k and negotiate from there. Lowball offer would be like 15 or lower, GL!

Well, I am proud to say that I am an s2000 owner now.

Got a silver 01 with 30k on it.

This car is so nice. Just cleaned it, need to get some pictures of it.
