Default New owners WARNING....read this!

I hope the title caught your attention to this. This past weekend a local owner came over to the house to pick up some various S2000 parts. I ended up looking at his MY2001 car just to see had he done anything to it....well, at 50,000+ miles it was pretty stock.

What caught my how high his car was sitting. I promptly had him pull into the garage, got on my knees, stuff my hands behind the wheels, and found SPRING SPACERS!!!!!

The car had been driven for 50K+ miles with no major incident, thankfully!!!! At this past year's Fresh Water Tour in Wisconsin, we had a participant/owner from Michigan with his spring spacers on the car at 25K+ mileage.

People, this is unsafe!!! Dealerships, this is unacceptable!!!!

Now please go and check your cars for your safety and your driving experience.

Kenny,

Those things are supposed to be removed from the springs by the car dealer as part of thet delivery of a new car. It's unbelievable that these were in place for a car with 50K miles!

This prompted me to get under the car tonight when I got home. I checked all four - no spacers.
