New to the S2K family. Just wanted to say hello and That i cant wait to get my 2004 S2K. Sold my 2006 Lexus IS 250. it was the first black on black in texas last january. Just didnt enjoy it that much anymore from having a previous car which was a subaru wrx/sti. I've also been reading and doing alot of research on 2003 and 2004/ap1 vs. ap2 and Im confused as hell. (thanks everyone.) but I'm leaning on a 2004. So ill post pics when i get the S2000. Heres a pic of the old baby.

IS's are nice, but unless its modified they are too sedated.
I'd get an 04 if it was between an 03 and 04. Personally I like the DBW and VSA in the 06+.

 

Ap1 > Ap2 You'll love 9k rpms so buy the Ap1

 

IS looks very nice

AP1 = hardcore (chassis, snappy at the limit, 9k engine, no VSA etc)

AP2 = softcore (more docile, 8k engine, VSA, DBW etc)

 

yeah..i've been on this forum for the past week all day everyday reading and reading and reading. Its a daily driver so it's going to be an ap2. found one in cali....2004 black on black with 30k for $18,000. (its a hook up. have a friend that sells car and got if for me wholesale.)

 

I had an 02, the 07 is a much better car all around.

 

I agree, AP2 for the win. Plus you use to have a IS250, the AP2's interior is nicer and the car looks overall more new and updated compared to the AP1.

 

getting an ap2 next week!!! cant FREAKIN WAIT!
