Default Pround new S2000 owner

Just picked up a 2000 s2k with 20,000 original miles. Within the first hour girls came up to me and were like hot car. Good stuff...

Question though, when I let off the gas while in gear I hear a rattling noise. Anyone else experience this?

Congrats on your purchase!!!

As for the rattle ... hmm ... I didn't notice that happening in my car. Maybe you should bring the car to a reputable mechanic to just check over everything once to make sure everything's in good shape.

Good luck, and welcome aboard!

this is a common problem among 2000 and 2001 s2000's. its got somethign to do with our pressure plates rubbing.. or something lol its better know as tsb 54 although there is no mechanical issue it just sounds annoying, not really much you can do but replace the pressure plate when u do ur clutch. which wont be for a long time since you only have 20k miles.

The rattle is annoying but as long as it's not going to break anything I'll deal with it. I did read up that it makes the clutch where a little prematurely. That will just be an excuse to upgrade ....haha

Can any of you tell me how to adjust my headlight beam? I've done it on my accord and civic but I didnt look yet to see if its the same wya o the S.

Thanks

You should do a search for that "problem". I bet there is not problem with the alignment of the beam. They are intentionally aimed at different ponts; its the way HID works. I would bet that you are seeing the left is lower than the right. Don't worry- its perfectly normal. Welcome to the fellowship though!
