Dude, it will be fine. Just go drive it and enjoy it. It's a Honda. I will most likely be very reliable. Watch your oil consumption, make sure the spring spacers are out, and make sure they dropped the tire pressure to 32 and just go enjoy it.

Where do I look for the spring spacers? Sure...I know, each spring. From where do I look? Under the car? The side? What do they look like?

You should be able to see the spring spacers guess where? on the springs. For the fronts you should be able to turn the wheel slightly and see them. You can see the rears if you look through a certain angle

Of course now that you're selling one it's "wow, nobody wants these weird colors anymore....."

Sorry I couldn't resist.

I guess it would be on the actual springs itself...
It is something between the coils if I'm not mistaken...

Do you mind me asking how much did you get it for?? I'm in the same situation as you are...and looking for deals on S2Ks here in Arizona...

Anyone out there knows at what price should I get the '05 now, or what could be the best that I could do? I feel right now that they are askin' way too much for it given that the '06s are out!

Any reason why I should go for an '06 instead of an '05? (I know warranty might be one issue)

Yup, a nice top down drive is VERY relaxing! It's my best therapy!

So Pancake, how is the car now? Has it started to fall apart yet? Or is it simply the most enjoyable car you've ever owned?!

i'm thinking about buying and 04 or older in the next 2-4 months....anything i should check when i go check them out?

also i know the major differences between ap1 and ap2 such as

ap1 00-01 models have plastic window
ap1 02-03 models have glass window
ap1 2.0 engine, 9000 red line, more tail happy than ap2, s02 tires
ap2 04 2.2 engine, more torque, 8300 red line

any other differences? which car actually sprints faster from a stop and a roll?

thanks for your suggestions and i look foward to joining you guys on this forum

1) look for ONE/TWO owner car
2) look for OLDER owner car = lesser abuse
3) look for under 20K miles car= lesser abuse
4) Check oil dip to see how old/new the oil is (dark=old=BAD, brown=new=good)

DO NOT buy a car from anyone under 30 (make that 40 to be safe)...I have seen some CRAZY as hell kids driving this car...2nd gear at 65-70 miles (i was in THIRD and it almost red line)...the car was screaming (for help). I'm only 22 but dang, those kids scared the hell out of me. If you are unfortunate enough to buy one of his car...Good luck.
