I just hope I won't regret getting the '06 instead. I love the Lagun Blue.

I didn't settle on a color until right before I bought. I'd narrowed it down to Suzuka blue (I really like the Laguna too!) and Grand Prix White. My dealer "finally" got one of each on the lot at the same time and I got to look at them side by side. Only "then" was I able to actually make a decision.
If my car got totalled tomorrow (heaven forbid!), I'd have a hard time not going for the Laguna blue myself. Only thing I'd miss is the tan interior. I know it's not a favorite for a lot of folks around here but it sure stays relatively cool in the summer sun with the top down.Have fun with the new ride!

Well, they gave me a great price for my trade and I got the S2k for invoice plus fees. I don't think I could have gotten as good a deal on the '06 models. With Laguna Blue being a BRAND NEW color, I was afraid they would charge a premium and say "it's so hard to get, none out there...this is the only one" and rape me.
They tried that with my '99 Civic Si, EBP.

Of course now that you're selling one it's "wow, nobody wants these weird colors anymore....."
Sorry I couldn't resist.
Im not trying to bust anyones balls. Its just that this is my 4th Honda and its the ONLY one that has given me problems. Its just odd to me that the most expenisive Honda i have ever bought has given me the most problems. Im sure all that will be fixed after i take it in. Well except for that eyesore of a rear bumper gap. ARGGG. haha cheers and sorry for going off topic. Congrats on the new car. As long as it stays in gear its an awesome ride!!!
ronin,
I thinks it's safe to say it's also the Honda in the "highest state of tune" that you've ever owned. Heck, when it came out it was the most powerful Honda ever offered for sale in the US. Most power per liter, highest reving production car ever. The transmission was buiilt spefically fo this car. I am thankful we even got such a special car, and willing to forgive a few quirks. I'm not saying YOU have to forgive them, but if you do, your blood pressure will thank you!

You can't really compare a hardtop and convertible car to be frank since a soft top is obviously more subceptible to damage from the elements.
I sold my 01 S2k recently and was contemplating another 05 s2k down the road or a 350z roadster.
Like many here I went to test drive the 350z and it's no comparison...the Z felt more like my M3 in terms of space and ride while the S2000 is a pure race car feel. However space is quite tight on an s2k and luckily it was not my daily driver.
Since you live in Seattle and it rains a lot, I would defnitely not get an s2k if it was my only car. Sure I could live with it but the 350z would be a better choice IMO.
Just an FYI but my 2001 I bought used and never really had any issues with the top or leaking.....and the new owner still loves her s2k!

Good job on the S2000 purchase. I just bought an 05 myself. If you are still second guessing yourself, go on road and track's site and lookup the long term test on the 350. You'll see what a piece of crap it is. I'll take some exception to the fact that it is the first year model, but seeing all of those problems was enough for me to get the S.

wow, well i'm one in a thousand who are experencing all sorts of issues. Actually anyone who BEATS on the car can expect lots of problems. All this makes me sad, thank GOD its a convertable

This is my 3rd Honda and the 1st two were great. I don't beat on my car, but I'm not a grandma either. The S2k is my DD but I think it will be fine. I'm single (well, gf) with no kids...that I know of.
