Remanufactored AP1 Motor gone bad
In Sept. 08 I had a oil filter leak which caused my 01 spa yellow s2k to spin a bearing....I purchased a reman engine from Standard Auto, of Chesapeake, Va. for $4150.00 which included a 5yr/100k warranty. This engine was installed and when started a knock was detected....Standard Auto was no where to be found! Luckly VISA, was able to get me a charge-back......I went to Honda dealership and bought a brand new short block.......$9063.00 installed....ouch......but we love the car and had to much invested to go the remanufactor motor route again....now I have two motors the original (31,000) with bad bearing and the remanfactored with a knock.....any one have any ideas on where to sell these two motors?
Become a member and part them out here, you can also try ebay.
Also, as you got you're money back from the re-manufacture you are legally obligated to make every effort to return it, unless you can prove they are out of business.
If you don't, you're probably going to get sued for $4150 and you'll probably loose.
