Default Renewed Excitement about my S2K

Hi All - I was going to sell my Suzuka Blue baby but your enthusiasm made me want to keep her...now that she's still mine (all MINE) I have to move her from VA to Colorado. Any advice on buying a platform to tow her behind my Ford Escape? Can the Escape handle the load? Or, do you recommend any car carriers?

Thanks everyone!

Andrea

Hey Andrea,
Why don't you ship the Escape and drive the S? A lot more fun. I drove mine from New Hampshire to CA. Very fun.

Driving the Escape makes more sense if you've got stuff to bring with you, but I wouldn't miss out on a (almost) cross country trip in the S.

How new/good is the Escape? If not so much, sell Escape, ship stuff, buy comparable replacment vehicle in CO.

CO can be VERY nice. Half wish we could move there too.

Uhaul has vehicle trailers for rent.

Hi Andrea, your Escape is going to be over or at the limit on towing capacity depending on your particular vehicle. I would drive the Escape, packed of course, and ship the S. An outside transport will be the cheapest, but exposes the car to the elements, etc. An enclosed transport is more expensive, but offers a safer over all trip. Best of luck on the move, you'll love Colorado.
