roof up and down without using motor?

Default roof up and down without using motor?

i was j/w if i can put my roof up and down by hand without using the motor sry if this is in the owners manual but i dont have one yet i just wanted to check tho before i tug to hard and break something

YES! However, Page 174 of the 2005 Owner's Manual states "you can close it manually". It doesn't say anyhing about opening it (I would think you just reverse the process, but I could be wrong on that). The manual depicts this as a two person operation, one on each side of the car. The procedure is:
1) Check for blown fuses, replace with same if needed.
2) If it blows immediately or doesn't work, then close manually by;
A. Locate connection for motor & disconnect (lower corner under dash pass side)
B. Hold each corner, raise top & push forward as far as it will go.
C. Then operate the latches as normal.

when it states Locate connection for motor & disconnect (lower corner under dash pass side) are they talking about the fuse or is the roof connected to the motor and u have to disconect it before doig it manually

they are talking about the wire connector located under far right (passenger side) dash. I tried this but it doesnt work. i dont think a manual operation is possible on a my05 unless you have had some steroids in the recent past.
