I had some of the same concerns and doubts with the S2000 (cept for height issue - I'm short ) when I first started looking into the S2000. Until I test drove one, I knew I had to have it. 5 years later, I'm on my 2nd S2000 (after selling the first one and going through an Evo, 350Z, and Corvette C6).

I *think* you'll know right away if it's the car for you after the test drive.

I had my moment of truth today. I'm sitting in a used 02 on the dealer lot and the salesman hands me the key. I go to move my foot over the clutch to turn it on and my leg doesn't go anywhere. The distance between the bottom of the wheel and the clutch is only slightly longer than my knee to my foot. The car needs a tilting/telescoping steering wheel. Once i knew my natural driving movement was going to be restricted it really hit me.

I decided not to even take it out. No sense torturing myself.

Thanks for the help everyone. Wish I could have joined the club but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Good that you gave it a shot, man. There are mods that might make the car fit you better, but I think you're doing the right thing.

Good luck.
