Hey guys, can we take this over to his "other" thread (noted earlier), please? It must be terrible to be losing ground in TWO threads for him.

With the s2k being a midengined car, the entire mass of the motor is behind the front axle, reducing polar moment of inertia and providing point and shoot handling, along with its short wheelbase, reasonably low weight and ultra quick steering.

toofast4u,
I own an s2000, and a 328ci. The 328 will not SMOKE anything. Neither will the 330 so don't get your hopes up about its extra 20 hp. It's clutch mastercylinder has a check valve most people don't know about which prevents fast shifting. The engine is slow to rev with a heavy flywheel, and it takes a while to rev-match. On top of that, it's 500 pounds heavier. Not to mention the terrible bumpsteer it has. The recent Car and Driver issue on the z4 will allude to this as the e46 and z4 share platforms. So get a grip.
Having said that, I love the 328. BMW builds a fantastic automobile, relatively trouble free and very stout. I've owned three Honda's in my life and I will say the same about them.

The handling faults can be traced to the low PMI, quick steering, and over damped (in compression) rear shocks, and poorly engineered rear suspension setup that results in toe changes (bumpsteer) during compression.
If you have something to say...say it...it's a forum and forum is discussion now if some people will agree with you and some wont...you just have to do your best to make sure people agree with you...I'm doing my best...the entire community is doing their best to beat me...in the end...we'll see who wins...

Toofast4u,
You said you have a 325IS, that is not an M3. Do you own a car? BMW's are sedans not roadsters, I know I work for a BMW dealer. Why don't you compare it to a Z4 or Z3? Those are roadsters. BMW defines a roadster a 50/50 balance, the driver sits over the rear wheels, a long hood, and very short overhangs in front of the wheels. A sedan is something you drive to get groceries in.
