If you like super bikes that go like heck. you will love the s2000. If you like harleys you are not going to like the s2000 at first. But once you drive with the tach in the high range for awhile you will be happy with your choice.
I can to the s2000 after a few Porsche 911 turbos. The s2000 is like nothing else. Lots of fun for the buck!

Just a comment about how worthless fifth gear is....

When the road is twisty and you are doing about 70 in sixth, you overtake a slower car. There's a cool tune playing on the stereo and you don't want to spoil the ambiance with the noise of fourth gear at 80. What to do, what to do?

Last weekend when I was at Sac2k days, I had my first opportunity to really check out about 100 S2000's. It was an awesome sight. I learned quite a bit. What really struck me was how beautiful Spa Yellow really is. I got a real good close look and it really is a beautiful clear-coated metallic. I don't know how Rio yellow is gonna be, but the Spa's have something special.

I'm one year short of driving and I have 15 grand. I hope I can get an S2000. This thread has talked me into it. The good part is that I don't need a real practical car. I drive my mom's altima and my dad's F150 everywhere. dunno if it would be a good first car though. i hope it is, =)
