PROS: Unbeatable import street cred; AWESOME PERFORMANCE in every aspect; slick looks: AP1 or AP2; Honda's best car, I think, if you like Honda performance/VTEC, this is the pinnacle; Unless compliments from friends and strangers alike; Scare the heck out of people with the VTEC ROAR!; Porsche performance w/ Honda price; Unbeatible Honda reliability;

CONS: Cramped cabin; rear tires wear out FAST even with conservative driving; trunk is small; stereo must be replaced cuz it STINKS;

The BIGGEST CON: Temptation to buy aftermarket upgrades.

I am currently driving a 1991 Corvette with a forged 383 stroker putting out 411rwhp/435rwtq and suddenly got the bug to maybe buy an S2k. I haven't yet test driven one yet but the two cars seem very similar. I'm going to take a look at the forum and see if I want one or not but if anyone wants to convince me, I'm open to it

Pros: It's like driving a sports bike without the need for a helmet!!!!
Cons: Can only seat 2. Like a sports bike!

I actually wanted to get a street legal supermoto bike. Family told me bikes aren't safe. So I got this Honda! Everyones happy now.

Are you related to driftintherain? (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...T&f=1&t=531575)

There's a huge difference between 5 and 6 speed, from an engineering standpoint. From your aspect, there's one more gear.

Don't misshift. There are a lot of owners that have nailed 2nd instead of 4th when redlined in 3rd. (I'm one of them) It's not a pretty sound. It's one of those, "Nothing sounds like a skull hitting concrete" moments in your life. Then you need a new motor.

Gridning, over time or a bad enough one can cause damage.

Way better transmission than practically anything else I've driven...

Take your time shifting when you're first starting to make sure you don't grind. Better to lose .5 seconds than to grind the hell out of second gear when you're at your peak torque!

The shifter on the S2k is spaced out pretty well though, haven't put it in the wrong gear yet.

Hello all,

I've been looking around for something fun to drive as a daily commute for the past week or so and looked upon the following, an STI, EVO, Miata, Sky Redline, and an Volkswagen R32.

I was wondering in comparison to these other cars, how does the s2k stack up in regarding maintenance cost?
