Okay this is easy as I'm the proud owner of a new Spa Yellow 2K and have been oh for about 24 hours. I came over from the Porsche crowd and yes they are nice and they are fun, but they are expensive to buy, expensive to run, and when they have issues, it's drama. So I go the Porsche dealership, which I might add also houses Acura and I don't know why, but there sat a Yellow S2000. I decided what the hell I'll take it for a spin. I now own it, and I no longer own that BoxsterS. Yeah it was a nice car, but let me tell you that the suspension on that Boxster was equivelant to a 76 Buick Regal when compared to the S2000. I live right down the road from CompTech, and yes the supercharger kit is sitting in the garage. Gonna wait to put some miles on it before I throw it on, but I love this thing, LOVE IT I TELL YOU!!!!!
Barney, congrats on your Spa!!! Welcome to the board. We'll see you around!!!
The guys in the under hood forum are a real resource for you if you go ahead with your mods. Wait a while on your supercharger because the engine takes a long time to break in properly.
Best wishes from New England!

Pros:
Best shifter I have ever owned.
Cons:
I traded (big mistake) a supercharged (Jackson Racing) Miata for an 02 S2 because I wanted more power (and more leg room). For handling the Miata blows it away. The extra power is only nominal. My track times at TWS with the Miata were 2 second faster. I have raced for over 30 years and instructed for 20.
Lack of an oil pressure gauge. Common on!!.
Uncomfortable seats.
Stupid looking inserts at the left and right front nose that serves no purpose. Cut them away and make cold air brake ducts.

Some people find themselves on the "S2000" precipice and need a push. Some are on some other precipice and are tugged by the doubt caused by the existence of the S and need a shove the "other" way. Whether it be insecurity or whatever, some people simply cannot make such a "bigbuck" decision on their own. Some ask for a multitude of reasons and I guess part of the "service" this forum provides is to give answers through opinions.
