Default slight knocking

Hi guys,
Im new to this so hope you get this.
Had the car serviced last week with the tappetts done gearbox oil chenged and diff oil changed plus usuall other stuff. Drove the car away and heard a knocking from behind the dash or in the engine bay (hard to tell) This lasted for about 10 miles intermitently and happened at abou 4 thousand revs but went as it entered v-tec. Since then it has'nt done it again but it did worry me a bit. Could it have ben the cam chain as my R1 used to do this until you gave it a good thrashing then you would'nt hear it again. The car has fuul service history and is running on magnetec. Any ideas?

Hmm, it could just be that the valves were adjusted slightly off. I don't know. It would be a tapping noise. LIkely you'd hear it again in this case.

Another possibility is the cam chain tensioner, which is a common issue.
