Tappets
Heya!
Driving my car today down a narrow street, i realised just how loud my tappets were as the sound echo'ed back into the car. My oil is just below half way as that was one of the first things i checked.
I know alot of mechanics say its good to hear them, is the FC20 generally quite a noisy engine when driving normally, or do i need to get it checked over?

our valvetrain noise is generally noiseier than most cars, but it also sounds like you may need your valves adjusted or at least checked. have you had it done before?
From having a brief look at some of the other noisy tappets threads, it seems 45k is about right to get this done.
Ill get the dealer to do it if adding more oil doesnt work when they do the service, is valve adjustment expensive? Ive done it before it doesnt seem like too much work, but the FC20 is a complicated engine, ive seen the cutaway.
