hot sunny humid weather isnt always ideal for convertibles. i was in FL and i couldnt imagine my top down in this unless i had the ac on full blast.
Convertible are ideal in mild summer like we have here.
Get an AP2!
I got the S2k because it is reliable and the tranny is like butter.

If you enjoy the srt4 that much, then you should just stick with it. Personally I don't see how you like a front wheel drive turbo neon over an s or several other cars for that matter. But hey, to each his own I guess.

People are telling you that there is no way you should walk away from an S2000 test drive with criticisms about the tranny and clutch. they are better than almost any other car on the road, and if they don't feel that way then something is most likely very wrong.

the S2000 will fall short of the SRT in terms of power, but in every other category i would say it is head and shoulders above.

lmao SRT a POS? That's such a joke. I love my car
but South Florida + Converitble= ideal

I was thinking get a racing clutch, 3in exhaust
and that should help matters out. It's a 2001 so
I know its not brand new and I don't have $ for
a brand new one, but however I test drove an 07
a year ago and still the clutch is very clumsy if
you will. It's not stiff or responsive. That is one of
my favorite things on my car now (aside from the
amazing sound and rumbles and growls the SRT provides)
Dude, the SRT4 IS a piece of shit. Everything about it is low class and shoddy. It only has power windows in the front for crying out loud. It's a cheap neon with a turbo thrown on it from the factory, what do you expect? Anyways, drive a properly maintained S2000 and you'll be very impressed. The driving experience is incredible, especially coming from a FWD with torque steer.

Either you have already decided that you hate hondas or you know something about what a shifter/clutch should feel like that no auto reviewer knows about.

Going from your SRT to an S2k, you might be disappointed in power, and you might have been hearing the clutch buzz on the 2001 and thinking that it was the exhaust rattling, but there is no reasonable explanation for you to be disappointed in the shifter/clutch, especially on the '07 if the '01 was abused somehow.

One would think an S2000 would sell itself over a turbo Neon. To each his own, I guess. If you really need a car forum to talk you into one of the best sports cars of all time, maybe you've already made up your mind.
