My question for you ALL is, is it worth my time?
Is your s2k reliable? What have you found to be
enjoyable and not so enjoyable? I think putting
in a full back exhaust and MAYBE getting a stock
tranny on here and racing clutch would fix the problem,
but I need input.

Thanks.
1) Definitely worth your time. Maybe not the effed up 01 you were looking at but get an S2k in good shape and you'll never regret it.

2) My S2k has 111k miles on it and all I've had to change so far is brake pads and clutch.

3) Enjoyable: Crisp handling and throttle response. Redline. Arguably the best 6-speed manual tranny in the world. VTEC. Looks. Topless.

3) Not enjoyable: Worrying. About holes wearing in the top. That someone slashed your top to steal your seats. I've owned some nice cars that I cared a lot about, but for some reason this is the only one that I park on the far end of the parking lot to be away for other cars and their freaking door dings.

4) Any 4 cyl car with a cheap exhaust will sound like ass. There's good ones out there - search the forums. Not sure what you mean about the clutch feel - you're probably just used to the clutch on your SRT.

Eh, you've already made up your mind anyway. Get the S2k and sell the SRT. Give up some straight line performance for a pure driving experience. You might miss the acceleration at first, but once you get a feel for what the S2k is really capable of you won't go back. Then you'll put some FI on your S2k and it you'll wonder why you ever doubted.

Ha sounds good indeed.
I'm talking to a guy on the forums right now
who's selling a 2000 with 103k miles...
I'm anxious but willing to wait for the right find.
The mileage scares me but I know Honda is
as reliable as they come

Stop getting all uptight.
My SRT has smoked an s2k...but that's not the point.
This happened on a track? Not light to light, I mean a legitimate racetrack with turns and everything.

get the motor compression tested before you buy, that's one way you can determine if it has been abused.

wait.. yes... I see the future of this S. Wrapped around a tree

jk

You should test drive an S in the canyons or a nice windy road then drive your SRT at that same road and see how they compare.

And... that's it? All your SRT-4 is good for is going fast in a straight line. Any retard in a minivan can do that.

Super or turbocharge an S2000 and your SRT-4 will feel like a Corolla in comparison.

This kind of validates my belief that SRT-4 owners all fall into a stereotypical category of being ignorant and obsessed with their Fail Wheel Drive cheap turbo econocrap car that can't do anything but drive in a straight line well.

I think I know what car the OP should upgrade to...

And if you get your friends drunk you can try to trick them into thinking it's a GTR

SO TRUE!!!! Except I wasn't drunk

Cobalt GTR vs my S2000
