Default Track Car Build

hi all,

after reading quite a bit on here, I thought I finally get registered and start posting a bit too.
i am currently building a S2000 from scratch. the 2000 car was stripped down into it's pieces and we are slowly starting to re-assemble it.

quite a few interior parts will be sold at some point, but that is another topic.

in the end, we should hopefully have a nice track orientated track car, which i will be using for tuition purposes.
the main plan started off, as we own a road going s2000, which did not have any real use, so we decided to start to make it more track focussed, so some friends could also use it to join to some trackdays.

hopefully when everything is finished, we should have a stripped S2k, softtop deleted, roll cage, hardtop (still need one!), better suspension and brakes.
as we want the car to be ready for the 2015 season, we will not be playing with any major engine/transmission modifications, but maybe at the next winter break, a SC would be a nice option.

as soon as i have some time, i will try and document most of the build!

looking forward to some nice chats and please feel free to ask/comment on anything!

thanks!
link is definitely helpful!

like I said, car is currently completely into bits, plenty of other parts are already there, some other still need sourcing.
just checking the different threads on suggestions, ideas and tips without posting yet again the same thing

the cage will be build by our local cage builder who has already helped us with other cars.
before we get him to measure it, i still need to source the hardtop, so we can fit the rear mountings first, and check if everything fits under the new roof.

the interior should not be complicated at all, given all the car will get is a new dash, a steering wheel and two seats.
currently the interior is empty, only the dashboard is left, which we intend to keep (minus airbox) and put some new switches and displays/gauges at the OEM location

brakewise, we will go for a ABS delete, with a 6.25 ratio pedal.
consequently we will replace the existing pedals with a new pedal box.

plan is to use the wilwood big brake kit front and rear with bias adjustment.
given the car will have to be road legal, a hand brake is mandatory over here to pass the roadworthiness tests (MOT).

whilst at it, I am currently debating to replace wheel hubs and bearings, as they seem to be prone to failure?
then go down the slippery slope of new control arms and bushes.

in any case a new suspension kit is a must. still not a hundred percent on which one, but given I am a bit of a high end damper geek, it will probably take me ages to find the right one.

wheels also need to be ordered, however there does not seem to be a setup that the community will agree on.
i am not after great looks, but in this case form follows function. wheel size seems to be a big topic on here...

plenty of work in the next couple of weeks...
