Worth It To AP1? Or Wait AP2?

I'd like to throw in my $0.2 by saying get it when you feel is right, focus in school & work, but I've always thought it is easier to deal with something once it is yours than planning in the long way. ESPECIALLY now that you don't have children. I just picked up my S AP1 two nights ago, year model 2000, with an OEM hardtop & AP2 seats, with 96,000 in the odo., paid cash but I do not regret it one single bit, aesthetically is not the best, hail damage from previous owner, but clean inside & strong engine, it is a Honda what else do you expect. I too am a student, full time job, twenty seven years old, in the National Guard, mortgage, bills, the whole nine yards. Except children, main reason of why I pulled the trigger. The time will come for you too, AP1 & AP2 are both great, I wouldn't focus so much on that.
Nice post! Thank you! I will make a decision once I know whether or not I get into the health program this year, and the AP1/AP2 debate really is interesting......

Not very relevant but I just want to say, I loved reading this thread because I just bought an 02 AP1 about a month ago and been having some thoughts/doubts about it. I'm not a car person, just simply one who's in love with the S2000 and I've been contemplating whether I should go for the AP2 (because imo it looks nicer).
What I got from this is that everyones thoughtful responses made me feel more content with what I was able to get and afford. This helped give me closure on the restlessness I've had.
