very wise words there ... and, unfortunately, rarely discussed unless in advanced training. I also keep my weapon(s) pointed down and slightly away from me if the combatant hasn't drawn on me yet (and I've practiced draw-firing.) This gives them the opportunity to rethink their intent


I keep a full magazine with alternating FMJ's and HP's and always keep one chambered in my Glock as I KNOW the perp will as well.


My buddy and I were going to make a trip up to Harry Beckwith's place soon in case anyone was interested. Nice shop and indoor range

I carry a Kimber 1911 Pro Compact. Mind you it isn't that easy to conceal, but with trial and error with the right holster you can find a good match. I highly recommend it!

Kimbers are the bee's knees.

for carry I would go with one of the "ultra carry" models

the trigger action and feel on Kimbers are like butter....smoothest pull and action I have ever seen.

beaver tail safety is cool too.

one of my favorite gun makers, for sure
