Default I don't think it's clutch buzz.... :(

Hey everyone, new guy here...

Okay, had my S2k for about 10 days now. 05, stock with the exception of a full length ram intake. 130k miles. Seemed to be decently well taken care of. It has a buzz coming from the tranny. I've read the site up and down about clutch buzz, etc. And I was 100% sure I just needed to re-grease the shifter. The guy I bought it from had no clue what it was. Before I bought it I read the forums and went down the "Check this before you buy" check list. This buzz is the only issue.

Like I said, I was totally sure from the descriptions it would be fixed by repacking the shifter. It's an almost plastic sounding rattle coming from the gear shift area- not RPM dependant, not accel/decel dependant ant not significantly different in different gears.

So my plan was to get a short throw and re-pack. Well, my urea grease showed up today and mooddiction is out of their shifter, so I said f@#k it, and just repacked it. And, I packed the crap out of it. Just got back from my test drive, and of course it's still there. I also noticed, in neutral, when revving I get the same sound around 25-3500rpm but a bit lighter. I've also noticed that it will go away is there is a lateral G force on the car, i.e. I'm bussing in 4th, go around a long enough curve at speed and it eases up.

I'm lost, I've had two tranny shops look at it and they're no help. Does anyone have any ideas or a good trusted shop in the area to have check it out?

Thanks in advance.

Does the rattle happen at idle? Does it continue if you slightly press on the clutch pedal? It might be the throw out bearing (they tend to rattle) or the shift fork.
These are very loud cars lol.

it does rattle at idle, in neutral. a bit. IT sort of comes and goes. I'll test it through the range of clutch motion and post back here.
