Default Moving to Jax!

Whats up everyone, I will be moving to Jax in the coming months, I just accepted a job offer with Shaw Group. The office is on Phillips hwy (us 1) near Baymeadows Rd in SE Jax. Anyone have a suggestion for apartments or neighborhoods to look into for a place to rent? I'd like it to be quiet, I know UNF is in that area. I've lived in Gainesville for 7 years, I don't need that scene any more. Also, somewhere where I won't be scared to have my s2k parked outside! lol.

Thanks Once we get settled in I will have to come out to some meets!

Century at Bartram Springs is where I used to live. Nice complex and very nice community. Right off phillips highway and it's kind of hidden "in the back" so you're away from any noise. Only thing annoying is that a train goes by once in a while but you get so used to it you don't even pay attention anymore.

About 3 years ago I looked at Atlantic Crossing (click) and thought it was nice. I know there are other decent apartment complexes in that area on or just off of Gate Pkwy. You have shops and restaurants at the St Johns Town Center and Tinseltown close to that location.

There are several nice apartments and condos on Gate Parkway or Touchton on the Southside. Most of those places have garage options as well. They will be about 15-20 minutes away from the office (with traffic). Only downside is they are a little pricey ($800-1100 for 1 bedroom) but they are in a good area with a lot of places to eat and shop nearby.
