the advan looks sexy to me, but i never understood the price considering just cast and not very light compared to others..

this is why ive marked them out of my rim list... basically a name thing.

yea that's what its starting to look for me. .its a shame too, i love nearly all of their wheels and was between 4 or 5 of them at a time

and $2500 for ver two's that weigh that much doesnt seem like a great deal.

You think thats bad. I was one of the first to get them in the U.S. I paid 500 air shipping on top of that. The bill came to $3,000 dollars. For 17's. I loved them though. But now they are gone.

all advans are made by enkei. they're mat cast... which is basically spun cast.

some advan models are pretty light due to hollow spoke design or just an overall light design but they're no forged volk.

semi forged is not exactly like casting.

in a normal forging process tehy start with a billet that is then pressed (forged) and then shaped(spun) and then cut (spun) to the right shapes.

in a spin cast, they just start with a casted block (instead of a billet type ingot thing and smashing it) and they spin it from there and then cut it.

a straight up cast wheels is already cast in the final shape and goes straight to cutting.
