Amuse Dyno
I agree with zbrewha863... Also I really really hope something was wrong that day. If this is what the actual results should have been there are some serious issues. I would even contact the dealer you bought the parts from to see if you can get a refund. You can buy the cheapest pile of crap parts in existence off of ebay and you will probably see more of a gain. Amuse tries to sell quality so much that it marks up its prices X10 above market, then it should also back its products.
The shop made 2 initial runs, the 1st peaked out at roughly 199 and the 2nd at 201. There were 3 runs made after the install, the 1st run showed no gains whatsoever. They then disconected the battery in order to reset the ECU which inturn produced what few horsepower they were able to squeeze out. I do remember overhearing one of the mechanics saying that they had cross threaded a screw when they were bolting the cat on. The other guy said "We'll listen for leaks". I have noticed puriodiclly some strange, kind of leaking sounds coming from below my center console (aprox. where the cat sits). I have to admit that I hoped something was wrong that day myself s2kfrog, because money is just as hard for me to come by as the next guy (I just happen to have decent credit). All in all, I truly hope there was an error somewhere, because aprox. $1700 per horse is crazy. I do believe whole heartedly in Powerhouse Amuse and their products, and simply can't believe there wasn't a mistake made somewhere. Thanks for lending a ear, and for the advice guys.
The Amuse cat is probably the one of the most overpriced products in the world. You could get a better one for ~$400 max.
The Amuse header is somewhat untested, but is probably comparable to most of the other high-end headers. It's light as hell as well. Probably not a bad deal, but again a bit untested. Without custom tuning the Tracy Sports, Toda and Mugen have shown the best results. For a highend setup the J's Racing.
The Amuse R1 is a fantastic exhaust in that it's light and very well made. However it's also too small. You need a 70mm exhaust to make power and the R1 is 60mm.
What you need to do now is buy an intake like the K&N, AEM, Mugen or J's Racing and get the Hondata reflash tune. I would get the AEM if you aren't worried about water/hydrolock and the K&N otherwise.
And hang out in the Naturally Aspirated forum not the JDM forum to save some scrill.

What you SHOULD have done is dyno the car stock. Send off the ECU for the Hondata reflash for the toda header then install the parts and dyno... and hello horse power.
My P2R Throttle Body spacer that cost me $88 gained more HP/TQ. =( Sorry bud.
There has to be a way to get your money back. Even dirt cheap run of the mill companies back there products. K&N backs there K&N FIPK intake as they guarantee you will make power or your money back.
I understand that bolt-ons do not make much power, but even with half way decent parts you should see some gain.

All i have to say is return/sell these parts. Buy a SOS or kraftwerkz superchager for about $5,000. And you will have a reliable, tuned 360whp. You will never look back. Also you can credit back some of those additional funds to your credit card. Weigh it out a 160whp gain for $5k and makes your car look way better then any exhaust system or you can get 0whp for $6.9K and looks good but not amazing.
Even if you have an exhaust leak i dont think fixing that will free up more then 2 or 3 whp. So there must be something more serious or these parts are some of the worst in the market.

I really dont think a return is out of the question, It doesnt hurt to try. A ferrari dealer will not treat its customers like KIA dealer. Especially since you did have these parts professionally installed and had a before and after dyno the same day. There is no excusable reason for this beside you received defective or they are just crap to begin with.
Follow these links for a S/C for your year. Look at what you should get for that kind of cash.

Some people are like me though, they don't mind spending 2k for an exhaust. I've owned 2 full Amuse exhaust setups, I don't regret either of the purchases at all. Stop being a hater and telling people how to spend their money.
