Smile ARC titanium cooling plate fitment issues

After waiting five months, I finally received my ARC titanium cooling plate. I went to put it on today, and everything went well until I went to close my hood. I have the Seibon MG Style CF hood. The latch portion of the hood is conflicting with part of the cooling plate. I removed the cooling plate and of course the hood closed just fine.

Anyone else have this problem? Looks like I need to put this thing up for sale.

well, it's the hood, not the plate. I take it the latch is the bolt on type? you can do a few things... look for a new latch, drill the contact points out of the arc, or sell it like you forementioned... I had this problem with a cusco plate and my old J's Racing hood...... since I sold the hood, my arc fits fine...

Good luck selling it now. Just kidding.
Try moving the latch over (on the hood), then moving the latch part "catcher" on the car... Lastly you might be able to cut some out on the plate. I wouldn't want to cut titanium with "ARC" on it, but ya never know. Good luck.

If I move the latch or latch catcher, don't I have to make new holes for the bolts to go into?

hey i had arc and cusco, u know where your bumper connects those screws on bottom section of the plate.take out the thin metal piece it should be black metal thing.i realized that when i had my cusco plate but with the arc i bent the corners which i should have known better...but that helps a little but i will need to move the latch up so the hood can catch it however i had to drill the hole bigger so the latch can sit higher

I removed that black metal plate at the beginning of the install. That wasn't the issue. The issue is the reinforcement around the latch on the CF hood is conflicting with the "back part" of the cooling plate. This back part of the cooling plate does not lay flat against the body of the car--it is about a 1/4" higher.

The holes might be big enoug to just loosen them and push over a bit. Kind of like the 4 10mm screws holding the hood on in the back... Tons of adjustment room there.
I'm not sure as I haven't been there, just trying to help.
