I bought 2 Spoon engine/transmission/brace sets, but I sold the braces and went with the ASM one, since it had better welds, design and look. I have a few more Spoon mount/brace sets now, so I can always grab a brace out of one of those, but I think I will just have the ASM one cleaned up and powder coated.

 

i don't recall anyone with a NFR is-11 but from personal experience it ties in the 04 fenders so well

 

Yeah I love that bumper and how it flows into the fenders. I just don't like the vent on the fender.

How much is the weight reduction?

 

6.2lbs or 2.8 kg. It also lowers the ASM front tow hook a bit lower for better bumper clearance. You do have to drill 2 holes into the the frame and tow hook though.

 

I have a authentic ASM IS-11 bumper and it doesn't align/sit flush with the passenger side fender. I had a replica Spoon bumper years ago and the fitment was better. My rear ASM 08 wide rear bumper fit like a glove, I'm kinda disappointed with the front bumper. What could be causing the issue?

 

You need to loosen the two brackets under the headlight and the fender. Align everything to perfection, then tighten everything down.

 

 

Did you reuse the bumper stiffeners? I'm assuming you had to drill out the holes?
