I think a more objective test would've been stock header + testpipe + catback vs stock header + testpipe + catback (and tuning on both would take it to a higher level). In all honesty, you probably wouldn't expect a significant change from a header if you didnt change the stuff downstream...especially given that the stock header is very good except in the weight department. I really think that would hold true with any header whether it was a J's racing or a ebay PLM.
I have a berk header myself, my main gripe with it is that it needs a lower bracket to deal with an engine that apparently squirms in the engine bay.

you cant buy a PLM header on ebay unless someone is selling their personal one...just saying
