When installing a CF hood do you attach the rubber seal that wraps around the front of the OE hood? Also I need mesh for the inlet, anyone know where to get the material (hopefully stales steel) and how to attach it?

No, you do not install the rubber seal thats on the hood. As for the mesh, you can pretty much get it any where like the hardware store or order it online depending on the "style" of mesh that you want.
