I don't think blocking off the squirters is a good idea, remember the first IP 2.5 kits that blocked the squirters suffered failures...the stroker kits that followed retained the squirters and have been working just fine since...

It's good to have them if you can get them to fit. If you were using aftermarket rods and chose to have the rods machined for forced pin oiling, I'd say it's ok.

I plugged them because I didn't want to risk having a rod hit a squirter and possibly break it, causing a huge loss of oil pressure. Nor did I want to attempt to bend or shorten the nozzle and possibly end up spraying oil all over they cylinder walls instead of their intended purpose. When I spoke to Inline this past fall, they said that they were plugging the squirters but this could have changed since then.

Plugging the oil squirters will not make an engine fail. If one falls out you have a big problem. Most race NA motors are built without. Less weight on the piston and increased oil psi are both positive modds for me IMO.

race engines does not last 150.000 miles. Many race engines as rebuild at te end of the season or mid season it depends of the engine wear and team budget.

Kpro and all the necessary parts are on the way. Once the parts arrive, I'll take some pics of the install.
