For those with the J's intake whats that rubber solid tubing used for?

 

i don't think i follow what you mean by solid rubber tubing... there is a clear vinyl/braided hose... that connects from the valve cover the the intake. then there is some vacuum hosing that is used to reroute some of the vacuum lining (doesn't apply to MY2006). there is also a little rubber piece that looks kind of like this -||||- where the center piece is black rubber and the pieces on each end are bolts. i have a MY206 so i didn't have to use that piece because that thing goes into where the IAT Sensor goes on the 2006's... i don't know what it does though. i just not it goes in there.

its not hollow. I know what the vacuum line looks like. I guess it does nothing then.

 

thats weird... mine came with one exactly like that but it was hollow and was a vacuum line. so whatever.. i wouldn't worry about it. if you do need the vacuum line you could pick it up anywhere.
