people in the U.S. are stupid and bored and create ideas about things that are completely unnessesary.

when you are a Japanese car enthusiast the only real tuning base is jdm, the US is just feeding off of how domestic car or Japanese tuners are going about things.

stop thinking of things in terms of country and do everyone else a favor. never say "jdm" again.

If you're aesthetically "tuning" then JDM is the way to go for quality and fitment of body parts and such. However if you're looking for something like top of the line shocks, you'll be looking at US and European companies such as Penske and Ohlins. As for NA power, the JDM market doesn't seem to have made any breakthroughs, but Hytech in the US seems to have something going in this area.

there have been breakthroughs on both fronts (think Toda, ASM, InlinePro), but you have to pay to play.
