Yah I know what you mean though.

I think for the setup I'm running, I MIGHT be able to get away with using Emanage, but I already have a AEM.

I am very interested in your set-up, How are you still using the IACV?

how do you think your TB would do against others like 50mm 52mm?

The IAC is plumbed into a seperate system than the vacuum. It's hard to explain with words but I'll try my best.

Vacuum system:

Connected to 4 vacuum ports located where the stock injectors used to be(using a stock manifold as a flange). That system is plumbed to a manifold block and distributed to the brake booster, map sensor, evap, pcv. Air intake temp sensor is also in the block but I think I may move it elsewhere.

Idle system:

Connected to 4 vacuum ports which were already on the Busa throttle bodies. Using a few tee's, I connected them to the ICV which is remote mounted. Also, since 2 of the 4 throttle bodies have 2 nipples for vaccum, I used one of them to connect to the FPR.

This setup allows me to have idle air control with it directly effecting my manifold pressure reading. To be honest, I don't know if the IACV is actually doing any work at the moment. I've been idling a bit high (1100) and I've set the idle to about 1000. The next time I start my car, I can try to set the idle higher and see if the IACV system actually reacts.

interesting, idle has to be programmed through the ECU with Jenveys - no other way about it.

you use the little screw to adjust idle .... opens and closes the throttle plates. which then the air intake is read and calibrated by the ems.

does your idle change when the engine is warm? my idle cold is fine and dandy but when it's warm it jumps between 1100 and 1400 erratically...

this is interesting... where did you put your map sensor? or are you using the busa stock TPS? this must be tricky to tune

also i was thinking that the busa TBs are too small for our car, and doesnt the busa TBs have 2 plates per tb?

keep us posted when it's tuned, i also wanna hear.

you have to tune your cold start, you dont have the IACV anymore... looks like you map is ok when cold, dump fuel but then it doesnt change when engine is warm already... and youre riching when it's warm.

mine starts at 3 cranks, idle at 950rpm at 14:1 AFR.... when it's warm enough idles at same rpm and 14.7:1 afr.

takes a lot of time tuning the cold start coz you have to go back and forth but then wait for the engine to cool down for a long time.

ask casey

cold idle is perfect, just sucks after it's very warm.
