the fuel is the easy part, just gotta modify the fuel lines to go into the rail and return along with a FPR.

At the stage I'm at right now, I would have to say the hardest part was figuring out the little minor details.

I managed to get it started and idling relatively painlessly. However, I haven't done any tuning with load.

I'm guessing my biggest challenge is to get it all tuned and making more power than I had before. I'm hoping that I won't lose power due to the fact that the throttle bodies I'm using are smaller than the ones that are made for the S2000.

interesting, idle has to be programmed through the ECU with Jenveys - no other way about it.
actually, if you never hooked up the IACV, like me, the idle hard set screw is the only way - that and manipulating the fuel and timing in the idle load cells to get the engine load as low as possible...I'm running 17 degrees of timing at idle, have been for months now

how do you modify this? is their a specific part you need to buy?

what is the normal timing at idle?

my car stock basically idles at 900rpm? Are you still generally in that area also?

does your idle change when the engine is warm? my idle cold is fine and dandy but when it's warm it jumps between 1100 and 1400 erratically...
watch your fuel map when it's jumping - you'll notice the active pill is probably dropping into a cell that needs fine tuning (not enough fuel or timing or both, probably), and that's causing the active pill to jump into another cell due to the added load of the current active pill...you'll see it jumping around. Tweak those 3-4 cells that its moving around in at idle until it stabilizes.

Its been so long since I've had a basemap that's not tweaked for ITB's, I can't honestly remember what the timing was at idle - I pretty sure it was low, less than 10 degrees.

When my engine is cold, it idles about 1000 - as it warms up, it idles about 1250-1300, but then if I kick on the A/C, it hovers around 950-1050 while the compressor is engaged. If I try to turn on the A/C before the engine is up to temp, it idles roughly about 800-900, pretty low and lopey, but won't stall, even though it feels like it wants too. Kinda makes the car vibrate like an old school muscle car

Blubblubblub *pause* blub blub blub blubblubblub *pause* cough blub blub blub (my crappy impersonation of cold idle A/C on )

I just did a little bit of idle tuning last night. I actually had to pretty much set the timing to 0.

I was just messing with the timing to try to bring the idle down since it was sitting at about 1100-1200 rpm with the idle screw back off all the way.

I'm going to have to double check my setup to make sure I don't have any vacuum leaks.

So you had to advance the timing? Is this for starting issues with the ITB's?
