Default Pricing

I was just wondering if the prices of some of the Japanese parts are going up in price?

it is pretty standard to see a price increase annually as revenue budgets for the year are increased. inflation is also a factor, as is the conversion rate.

Yeup. Titanium and Carbon are "rare raw materials" in their eyes.

1. tax laws changed in japan a year ago and more companies than ever are paying 5% VAT on purchases (I pay sales tax on parts usually even though its exported)...stupid but a reality because its so difficult for companies to properly do the paperwork for export.

2. there is a carbon shortage right now in japan.

just some thoughts that come to mind...

overall I dont see too many price increases though. I wouldnt worry much about prices going up, I dont think it'll become noticable or a problem anytime soon. Except on Amuse since Amuse USA shut down recently...Amuse prices are going to be nasty for a while until Amuse Japan starts wanting to sell parts again. Its a long story and I dont want to get into it. In short, its going to be very difficult to get amuse (right now Bulletproof is the only shop that can get them), and my costs went way the hell up.

Lol, you have read my mind. I was looking at getting the amuse header and straight pipe. I remember when it was in the 1300 range. now is it a couple hundred more. Oh well I would love the header and straight pipe with my veilside teardrop. Guess I gotta save up alittle more.

Carbon Shortage is due to new airliners...

Boeing 787
Airbus A350

especially...they are basically carbon fiber airplanes, well at least the 787 is, I don't know too much about the 350 but I think the wings on that are atleast carbon. Anyway ya, they basically bought most of it, and I think that Japan is even making the wings for the 787 and shipping them to Seattle.

Anyway, all these relations to the avaition world in my last few threads was fun.

Good Bye

787...new plane...and ya its carbon fiber...there was a 4"x2" piece passed around one of my classes...indistructable. About 1/2"-3/4" thick and light as hell.

Supposedly they have made a full scale prototype body and drove a catering truck into it at full speed...did nothing to it (this actually happens a lot in life to metal a/c and causes major problems)
